For Your Ears Only 2015: “Our perception of space depends as much on what we hear as on what we see” – Max Neuhaus.
This creation is a Radiophonic Theatrical Sound performance or as sound specialitst Barry Blesser calls it: ‘Eventscape’. It deals in principle with how to create a spectacle for theatre purely based on Sound in space & time using the Radio or Hear ‘play’ form. It focuses on how the audience constructs it’s own performance from voice and sound. Which in turn, as it is placed in the theatre itself using the stage as a reflection, it challenges the perceptions of the theatrical space, its potential and limitations, illustrating that sound has a significant place as a primary performance medium.
